报告内容简介:

Recently, engineered nanomaterials with novel properties relative to their bulk counterparts have been increasingly used in various fields, including drinking water treatment and pollution cleanup. During use, recycling, disposal, these nanomaterials will inevitably release into the environment, which generates a need to investigate their behaviors and impacts in the environmental and biological systems. Because of the reactivity and high specific surface area, these nanomaterials are highly reactive and dynamic in the media, and can undergo profound chemical, physical and biological transformation reactions, e.g. dissolution, aggregation and sulfidation, which will alter the fate, transport and toxicity of these nanomaterials. Thus a comprehensive understanding of transformation reactions is critical to the risk assessment associated with nanomaterials, meanwhile it contributes to the optimized performance and stability of nanomaterials used in various applications. Specifically, this presentation will introduce the environmental transformation and implications of two-dimensional MoS2 nanosheets, which have demonstrated many applications in potential large-scale use. In addition, this talk will also discuss the application of MoS2 lamellar membrane prepared by stacking the individual nanosheets. MoS2 lamellar membrane shows excellent stability, ultrafast water permeance and stable separation performance. Considering the fascinating physicochemical properties of MoS2 nanosheets, MoS2-based membrane is promising as the next generation of multifunctional membranes for drinking water purification, wastewater reuse, and desalination.
